Everest in the recent climbing season was due to altitude sickness. The report of the Nepal Mountain Tourism Improvement Recommendation Committee submitted to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai on Wednesday stated that evidences found from the study refuted that traffic jam in the climbing route, as stated by the media, was responsible for the death of the climbers. A new lake, Kajin Sara, has been discovered at Manang located at a height of 5,200 metres. The lake is located at Singarkharka of Chame Rural Municipality, Manang. According to Chame Rural Municipality Chair Lokendra Ghale, the lake was discovered about a few months ago by a team of mountaineers. “As per the measurement of the lake by the team, it is located at an altitude of 5,200 metres, which is yet to be officially verified.
